The Dee Warner Case: Body Found and Autopsy Scheduled
A spokesman for the Dee Warner family confirmed on Sunday that a body believed to be Dee Warner’s has been found. The family spokesperson confirmed to WTOL 11 that Dee Warner has been missing since April 2021. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday to officially confirm the identity of the body.
Discovery of Human Remains
Michigan State Police announced that human remains were discovered during the execution of a search warrant at the property of Dale Warner, Dee Warner’s husband. Dale Warner has been accused of killing Dee, and a preliminary autopsy will be conducted on the body found, believed to be that of Dee Warner, on Tuesday, August 20. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to positively identify the remains.
Michigan State Police District 1 issued a statement updating the investigation, confirming that the remains were found on Dale Warner’s property in Lenawee County. Additional search warrants were executed at two properties belonging to Dale Warner, including Warner Family Farm and a property on Paragon Road.
Developments in the Case
Dale Warner has been charged with murder in connection to Dee Warner’s disappearance and is scheduled to attend a preliminary hearing on September 4. Although he has pleaded not guilty to the charges, authorities have identified him as the only person of interest in Dee’s death.
The family of Dee Warner has been actively involved in the search efforts and investigation since she went missing in April 2021. They have also sought legal action to declare Dee Warner dead in 2022. The family remains hopeful that the cause of Dee’s death will be revealed through the autopsy.
Celebrating Dee Warner’s Life
Despite Dee Warner’s body not being found for several years, her family decided to celebrate her life earlier this year. A small ceremony is planned on the family property in Tipton, Michigan, followed by a “Celebration of Life” reception at the family farm for Dee’s loved ones and supporters.
Dee Warner’s headstone will bear the inscription “Dee Ann, daughter of Leno and Wanda Hardy,” omitting the Warner name to honor her memory. Her family remembers her vibrant personality and the impact she had on their lives.
