Fire at North Side Storage Facility in San Antonio
No injuries were reported. Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio fire crews were battling a fire at a North Side storage facility Sunday afternoon that sent thick smoke billowing into the city skyline.
Firefighters responded to a fire at the Jacuzzi Sundance Spas Storage warehouse near North Loop 1604 and Redland Road.
Containment and Damage Control Efforts
The SAFD said firefighters were able to contain the blaze within the warehouse, where it appeared to be under control and the smoke had begun to dissipate.
According to SAFD, a hazardous materials truck was dispatched to the scene as a safety precaution to ensure that hazardous chemicals from the burning of fiberglass and other materials were not present in the warehouse.
Officials said the fire caused extensive damage to the warehouse and appeared to be a total loss.
