Manhunt for Suspect in Houston Shooting Incident
In connection with the tragic shooting deaths of two men in Houston on March 24, Charles Dee Strain III, 35, is currently at large and wanted by authorities. The shooting took place around 2:55 a.m. in the 2000 block of Oakdale Street, where Strain faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Details of the Incident
The victims, aged 37 and 32, were rushed to a nearby hospital and are currently in stable condition. The incident unfolded when HPD patrol officers discovered the victims, both suffering from gunshot wounds, near State Road 288 and North McGregor Road. The victims revealed that they were shot at the intersection of Oakdale Street and Almeida Road.
Upon the arrival of Houston Fire Department paramedics, the men were promptly transported to the hospital. Through a preliminary investigation, it was determined that an unknown assailant shot the victims as they stopped at a stop sign before fleeing the scene on foot. Further inspection, including eyewitness testimonies and evidence collection, led to the identification of Charles Dee Strain III as the shooter.
