Base Blockchain Network Dominates Ethereum Layer 2 Trading
Analytical interface platform Growthpie has reported that the Base blockchain network has emerged as the top Ethereum Layer 2 trading network, surpassing the Arbitrum network. The transaction volume on Ethereum Layer 2 has reached a new milestone of 12.42 million transactions, with Base leading the way with approximately 3.25 million transactions.
On the other hand, the Arbitrum network, with 1.11 million transactions, holds the second position in Ethereum Layer 2 trading. Base, utilizing Optimistic Rollup technology, has gained popularity in the trading community in just over a year.
Surge in Taiko Network and Decrease in Ethereum Layer 2 Transactions
Among the top trading networks, Taiko has seen a notable increase of 4.4% in trading activity in the last day. Despite this, the overall transaction volume on Ethereum Layer 2 has experienced a sharp decline for four consecutive weeks.
The total number of active addresses has decreased by 16.32% to 5,297,233, and active multi-chain wallets have also decreased by 13.41% to 497,425. The dominance of second-tier trading networks has decreased by 14.32% compared to the previous week.
Record-Breaking Transactions in Ethereum Layer 2
Despite the recent decline in transaction volume, Ethereum Layer 2 network achieved its highest number of active addresses in the third week of June, with over 8.5 million transactions. This indicates a strong interest and activity in Layer 2 scaling solutions within the Ethereum ecosystem.
In conclusion, the dynamic nature of Ethereum Layer 2 trading networks continues to evolve, with Base emerging as a dominant player in the market. The fluctuating trends in transaction volumes highlight the need for adaptable solutions to meet the growing demand for efficient and scalable blockchain transactions.
