The accident took place at around 6:09 a.m. on August 8 at 100 Southmore Avenue, just east of the intersection with Shaver Street. According to police reports, the pickup truck hit the man in his vehicle on the sidewalk and then fled the scene, heading eastbound on Southmore Avenue.
