Houston Weather Forecast
Today’s Forecast:
Houston is experiencing a hot day with temperatures ranging from 90 to 100 degrees. It is essential to take precautions against heatstroke, so make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade.
Hottest Week of the Year:
While we have only reached 100 degrees once this year, this week promises even higher temperatures. We can expect temperatures to soar into the triple digits, with areas along the Red River reaching as high as 105 degrees. Dallas and Oklahoma City will also see temperatures surpassing 103 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
Track the Tropics:
Tropical Storm Debbie made landfall in Stanhatchee, Florida, as a Category 1 hurricane with wind speeds of 80 mph. Although now downgraded to a tropical storm, Debbie continues to bring heavy rainfall to the southeastern coast, posing a risk of catastrophic flooding in the coming days. On another note, a new tropical wave is developing in the Atlantic Ocean, with a 30% chance of further development over the next 7 days.
As we anticipate high temperatures and humidity dominating the next 10 days, it is crucial to stay prepared and take necessary precautions. Keep an eye on the weather forecast and stay hydrated to beat the heat.
Remember to stay safe and informed during this hot spell. Protect yourself from the sun, drink plenty of water, and stay tuned for any updates on the weather.
