Manhunt in League City: Inmate Escapes Police Custody
A manhunt is currently underway in League City, Texas, after 37-year-old inmate Desmond Taylor managed to escape police custody early Sunday morning. Taylor, who was arrested on charges of assault and domestic violence, was receiving treatment at UTMB Victory Lakes when he made his daring escape.
Despite the efforts of the League City Police Department and surrounding agencies, Taylor remains at large after fleeing his hospital room at 1:02 a.m. His escape attire, consisting only of socks and underwear, was discovered outside the building.
Health Issues Prompt Hospital Visit
Taylor, a Houston resident, was initially taken to the hospital from the League City jail after complaining of health issues while in custody. This visit ultimately led to his escape, sparking a city-wide manhunt.
Authorities Seek Public Assistance
Law enforcement officials have described Taylor as a 6-foot-2-inch tall male, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. The League City police are urging anyone with information on Taylor’s whereabouts to contact them immediately at 281-332-2566.
