Tracking the Tropics
Over the weekend, Tropical Depression 4 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Debby by the National Hurricane Center.
Florida’s Big Bend area could potentially see a Category 1 hurricane making landfall on Monday afternoon. The effects of this system will extend to Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas in the coming week.
Tropical storm warnings have been issued for parts of Florida’s west coast and further inland, including cities like Tallahassee, Apalachicola, and Valdosta, Georgia.
Anticipate significant rainfall amounts ranging from 6-12 inches in coastal regions of North and South Carolina as Debbie moves inland.
