Transformer Fire at Air Liquide Plant in Pasadena
At around 5:30 p.m., a transformer fire broke out at Air Liquide’s Pasadena plant, located on Bay Area Boulevard near Highway 146. First responders, including the LaPorte Office of Emergency Management, quickly mobilized to address the situation. The fire was largely extinguished by 6:40 p.m., but crews were still working to tackle hot spots. Due to power outages, additional flares were possible, and people in the area were advised to expect to see first responders until the situation was fully resolved.

Meanwhile, eight Harris County police officers were on hand to direct traffic, as Bay Area Boulevard was closed from Fairmont Parkway to Choate Road. Alternative routes were being sought to minimize delays for commuters.
